    Wow Eliot, soooo cool.

Who needs 5 or 6 strings and frets. All you need is a 4 string fretless and a WHOLE lot of talent.

After years of playing bass I can't even imagine laying down a groove half as good as that.

Haha, I'd never heard of a fretless guitar (or Guthrie) until I saw one of his vids a few years ago.

What an amazing talent. With just a hint of humour. Sometimes I just wonder how many awesome guitarists are out there and just through bad luck or bad judgement they just never get the recognition they deserve.

Guthrie is one of the funniest humans I have come across. It is worth spending a good three hours on youtube watching his lessons and demos. He is a scream.

I saw Guthrie a month or so ago playing with Steven Wilson. Absolutely insanely brilliant guitar player. Made me break my eBow out again as well.

Bumblefoot is also a great fretless player. He starts playing the fretless about 6 minutes in. (Language warning, he swears abit)

He also uses a thimble on his right hand pinky as a fake fret to play stuff above the fretboard.
