Hey dudes, I have just returned to beautiful Brisbane from three action packed weeks in North America and while I was there I managed a bit of guitar spotting fun. Destinations: Las Vegas, Vancouver and New York. I thought I'd bang up a few pics of the more interesting stuff I got to check out.

First up the Hard Rock Cafe in Vegas. Plenty of rad memorabilia to be seen, not bad burgers either.

Steve Vai's Heart Guitar. As seen in the "Just Like Paradise" film clip. First thing I saw as I climbed the stairs.

Steve Howe's EB-6. There can't be many of these around.

    Paul Stanley's Moderne

    Joe Walsh's Chet Atkins 6121

EVH Charvel. This looked unused, probably just a regular production model. Still pretty cool.

I only checked out one store in Van, but what a store. Tom Lee Music on Granville put Australian music stores to shame. Three giant rooms full of guitars. I drooled, my wife groaned.

Then on to Manhattan. What a crazy place.

Checked out the Hard Rock Cafe again. Wow.

    Bruce Springsteen's ESP tele.

    Brian Setzer's Chet Atkins 6120

Scott Ian's Simpsons painted Jackson. Terrible photo sorry.

    George Harrison's Harmony

Paul McCartney's Hofner Violin Bass. This one was the highlight for me.

Went for a day of guitar window shopping at the most amazing music stores on the planet.

    30th Street Guitars.

I've didn't even realise Dan Armstrong made these Lucite basses.

    Standard scale/Baritone double necked strat.

Rudy's Music was strictly look but don't touch. Great place to go if you've got 10 grand to spend and you want a 60's Les Paul or a 50's Jazzmaster.

Then at the Manhattan Guitar Centre we stumbled upon this...

Oh yeah, this one has seen some use.

Also checked out Chelsea Guitars and the Sam Ash Megastore (formerly Manny's Music) where I was complimented on my Zappa t-shirt by Mr Larry Hartke. As a Hartke amplifier enthusiast, this topped off a rather awesome day very nicely thank you very much.

I've got the IB-1 as well as four cigar box guitars on the block too. PBH is the priority though, hoping to get it and the cbgs done before christmas. Unfortunately work and family commitments are keeping me very busy at the moment.

Awesome pics Pablo, those music stores seem awesome at first - but can't be that good: not one lefty in sight...

    "I drooled, the wife groaned."

    I can relate to that...
