Thread: Gold and Silver Highlights

  1. #1
    Hi Guys,

I wonder if you could explain the principles of selecting highlights for your Wudtone colour.

For example I am looking to order Carmine Gypsy and have been presented with the options of None, Silver and Gold highlights.

Do particular colours match better with gold or silver?
Or is it just personal preference?
Would you ever chose not to use a highlight?

    Cheers,
    Rohan.

Hi Rohan, the highlights come down to preference! You don't need highlights, but they fill in the small pores that are left behind and look amazing on Ash Strats!

It really is personal preference for me. But then again, certain colours may match better with gold highlights than silver. Dairy Blonde for example.

    Hi Rohan,
yes agreed its personal preference, I generally try to choose whichever will be more obvious, example a yellowish wudtone colour you would select silver over gold.
I've done carmine gypsy and silver worked well with that. Gold probably wouldn't be so obvious
