Thread: Hollow-body ES-1

    ES-1G

    Are these a "true" hollow-body (like the Gibson ES-330) or is it a semi-hollow body like the ES-335 (i.e. with the through-body solid wood block running through the centre of the body from tail to neck)?

    The photos of the kit seem to show it as a semi-hollow body tho' they're just not quite clear enough show this "hidden" detail ... I just want to make sure of what the beastie is

    Just last week I received the ES-1GT kit, my next project, and it is a semi hollow with a center block, as is the ES-1G.
    I asked the same question of Adam a couple of months back when i first considered this kit.
    Overall I am very impressed with it....looking forward to the challenge.
