    Hi all,
after checking out DB's baritone scratch build I was interested in getting hold of guitar body and neck plans and a quick search online found a website that has both CAD and pdf drawings to scale of many Gibson/Fender and other guitar models.
I'm sure I've stumbled across it before, so I hope I'm not duplicating another post that has already mentioned this site, but its got the Ricky 4000 Bass as a CAD file DB, see attached a screenshot

    the link is https://sites.google.com/site/guitar...ollection/home

there are heaps more pdf drawings than CAD drawings

hope this helps any scratch builders and save buying the plans from Australian Luthier supplies - all you need is an A1 printer !

I haven't checked any of the dimensions of these plans so just putting a disclaimer out that could be worth checking up on some of the dimensions and check the scale of the necks and the number of frets you will be using.

    Current Builds and status
scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Groovy.
Typical that this gem is found after I have bought the plans for a 4001 Riccy...

Oh well, there are heaps of others on there I don't have so I will be giving it a workout...

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Bassguy have you checked the accuracy of the 2 drawings you downloaded ?

DB on close inspection of the Riccy CAD drawing some of the curves were fairly roughly drawn but overall it looked pretty accurate, would be fine for a scratch template but not the Rickenbacker factory !

What I have seen the scale lengths of the neck appear ok on few I've checked and the body shapes appear close enough for a scratch build.

I haven't given them the fine tooth comb treatment yet- I was more interested in design and general specs.

This is a long term idea anyhow. I'd need to source a headless neck/trem arrangement for the Klein.

That's a really good link, thanks Wokka.

Here's the only other link I know of with a motherload of guitar plans.
