Hey guys, I just thought of something, and I want your opinions on it, I want to do a Strat in Cherry Flamenco after the LP, and I want to have some silver highlights added into the CF to get a silver tint to it, and then embed gold highlights into the grain, so I get a silver-red mix with some gold grain highlights running through it!! Will this idea work???? Or could I add the silver highlights to the top coat to get a better result???

    Good question Pest.
I would be more inclined to put the silver into the last base coat, then it would not be lost in the mix.
Then another coat of highlights before you start on the top coats.
I think that the gold will just confuse it, but until you try it we will never know!

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

Why don't you retreat to the Man Cave and grab some base coat, mix it with a bit of silver highlights, apply it to some scrap wood, then try to embed gold highlights into the grain???

The gold is imbedded in the grain, the silver is just mixed into the base coat!
