I'm looking at purchasing the Stew Mac Guitar Shop Starter Kit as I'm looking at doing all of my own work from now on. I'm looking at doing my own fret work, nut work and setups.
Would that be an appropriate set to get, or are there unnecessary tools in there that could be added or trimmed? I'm planning on using them far into the future.
    Price isn't really an issue.
    Thanks.

it should contain everything you need to get started, but for the nut making, you want to have a bench mounted vise, as the nut making vise doesn't mount anywhere

It's a decent set up, you will probably upgrade some of the tools to more expensive ones that offer better protection to the guitar, are easier to use, and simply do a better more efficient job. But these will work well for now!

Thanks Gavin, I'm just looking for something to get me started and that seemed like it would be appropriate, and I've ordered a fair bit of stuff from stew mac (Hardware, Pups etc) and I've necver gotten anything of poor quality from them.

Haha wok, the must have anywhere between 60-70% of all shares, soon there will be a time where they both don't have any more tools to buy!!!
