Thread: Guitar cases

  1. #1
    Hi folks,

We're looking at getting some cases in. We need these to ship any finished guitars we sell, but some of you may also like the option to purchase when you buy your kit; we can actually pack your kit into the case and save postage.

These cases would retail at around $85.

Which do you prefer, the shaped or the rectangular:

    Cheers,

    Adam

Rectangular cases fit 99% electric guitar types and bodies, and if you have a various guitar collection, they make stacking them easier. Would be nice to sell them individually as well!!!!

The shaped ones look to me like they're designed for the deeper body of an acoustic. When I sent the Yellow Peril for its nut job I put it in my acoustic case, and I had to pack a few towels underneath the body so that the headstock didn't collide with the lid - the accessory box under the neck was too high a pivot-point for a shallow-bodied guitar.

So, my vote would be for the rectangular case, on the assumption that it's the right tool for the job.

Rectangular case will fit most electrics, I think you may battle with the 'acoustic cases'.

    Rectangular is looking pretty unanimous.

yes rectangular gets my vote Adam.
Only axes that may need a bigger case are the ES and BC models, otherwise most other shapes would fit in a rectangular

Is it possible to order a Flying V shape Adam ? I know these wouldn't fit into my rectangular case

    cheers Wokka

Ok, I agree, it's a no-brainer, but I do like the look of the shaped case... something more aesthetically pleasing about it.

And yes, Brendan and other low end occupiers, we will get some bass cases as well.
    Cheers,

    Adam
