Acoustic bridge pins not seating???

Hey guys, I have a fairly old acoustic that needs a but of refurbishment, and the bridge pins have always been eneven...
My main concern is the low E pin, it's been extremely high for a year or two, I think the bridge holes just need a bit of reaming... Any thoughts???

This sounds like a Gavmeister question but I would hazard a guess and say the hole is worn.
Have you tried a new pin?

Callum, the ball end of your E string is caught on the bottom of the pin. Just take the string off, take the pin out then re-string the E string, making sure the ball end isn't stuck again.

Well there you go.... It was Adams acoustic awesomeness that saves the day!

Callum, remove the e-string completely from the bridge, then press the bridge pin back into its cavity. If it doesn't fit then you might find that at some time the bridge pins got mixed up and no doubt there is a bridge pin that is a little loose in its position.

If the bridge pin fits then Adam is correct in his guidance....

Ok, I'll try to take the pin out and restring the E and see how it fits!

EDIT: Phew!!! I'm lucky my string winder has a bridge pin puller!!! After a bit of push and shove, the pin is now in, thanks guys!!!

It has always been bugging me a fair bit, it's been like that for at least a year, now it's fixed, and now it's time to start replacing the frets, inlays, and also the tuners (after the LP ofc!!!)
