Thread: Andys LP-1

About a month ago I ordered my ES kit, but it was out of stock. At work I would bang on about how excited I was to receive it etc and a co-worker sussed out the Pit Bull facebook page and was lucky enough to be the 200th fan and therefore won the LP-1 prize! She then gifted it to me as a sign of thanks for something else, so suddenly I ended up with two pit bull guitar kits!

Out of the box, nothing was missing, some grub/grime on the body but that came off pretty easy. There was a few miniscule chips around where the neck fits into the body, I simply filled them in with some liquid wood filler, and sanded the residue back to a flat finish (see photos).

I would love for this guitar to be a sister to my hollow gretsch knock off, so red it is. I would like to get a similar red tone to it (see photos), maybe with a more fuller, solid finish.

Sanding back the rest of the body starts the weekend!

I aim to work on this parallel to my ES kit

Mmmmm... The LP-1 is one amazing kit in the flesh!!! Does yours have the flame maple veneer and the bridge ground hole drilled??? Cause if your answers were yes then no, you would have received a very early kit like mine!
