I wanted to adjust my Tele neck to get a more appropriate action (relief) which then lead to a quick look at some of the other Guitars....they all seemed the same.
So whilst the necks give the appearance of having a truss road, it doesnt seem to be adjustable using any of the range of tools I have?

Any guidance as to how to do this?

Hi Gav, the necks do have functional truss rods. I know 'cause I've had to adjust a few. I didn't have a problem with any of them and one of the Allen keys in the bag of parts did the job. If you didn't get the right key, I'd be surprised, but happy to send you one.

If you're after some guidance on truss rod manipulation I think this is the video that i used as a reference.

I'll check the seven bags of unopened guitar parts....oops! I assumed one of the 13 or so truss road adjusters i bought at SM would do the trick! This reminds me that the SM ones don't work with the LMII stuff either...

4mm key should do the trick Gav.

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

4mm worked just right...and there I was convinced there was something afoot; the one's i had tried, they either wouldn't fit into the truss rod cavity or they spun around without any grip....thank goodness for the forum otherwise id be ordering a truss rod rescue kit from SM for a perfectly workable unit!

I must confess to holding that 4mm key in my hand for an hour or so after DB recommended it but I only felt confident to give it a go once the student had confirmed the masters diagnosis of my problem!
