Thread: Welcome to Andy from Wudtone

  1. #1
So Andy, your ears must have been burning, with all this Wudtone talk on our forum. DMac has been singing your praises.. and I think you've already got a few sales from his recommendation. I'm certainly looking forward to receiving my mahogany kit.

If it does what I'm hoping, I'll add a video on Wudtone finishing and hopefully send more business your way. If there's enough traffic maybe we can even talk about a promotion for our customers (discount promo code perhaps).

Anyhoo, looking forward to your contributions here.
    Cheers,

    Adam

    Yep... Just ordered two kits..
There will have to be a thread started just for Wudtone!
The prices are really quite cheap, $105 for two colour kits with postage.

OOps! You are correct on that dMac 8-) ... The prices are low... The product is not cheap, I mean just by looking at the examples shown on the web page you can see they are of a very high quality!

I recieved a message from Andy yesterday.

I can say with great confidence that Andy is just as passionate about your build as you are.

The outlay for Wudtone finishes is generally lower than for shop bought laquers and paints and it is well worth waiting a few more days for it to arrive from England.... This just gives you more time to sand, right?

    My Wudtone arrived today.

    Let the fun begin!

Do I use the Carmine Gypsy or the Black Magic Woman on the edges of the Axe of Destiny?

    Descisions....

Mine too DingoBass (actually it turned up yesterday).

I've got a Mahogany kit, with a high gloss top coat. Now, what kit to paint?

I'm sorry guys, I'm going to pinch one the spalted maple LP kits which are due soon.

I'll document (video) the process and hopefully we'll have a Wudtone painting video on our site at the end of it.

    Cheers,

    Adam
