    My first build st1-l

So far three coats of Aqua Clear pore filler sanded to 320, and three coats of Duplicolor dark primer (spray can). Drying overnight before seeing sanding needs. I suspect it will need a light 400 or 600 grit scuff. Intended color is duplicolor gloss black, but just the primer is pretty cool. Reminds me of the primer color street rods of years gone by

    Hi and welcome.

I'd like to try some of the Aqua Clear filler, but it's not easy to find here in the UK at a reasonable price.

When reading other build diaries, bear in mind that the P-series Australian/EU sandpaper grits are different (coarser) to US ones above 220. Comparison chart here. https://www.thesandpaperman.com.au/a...ion-chart.html

Yeah, the stuff sounds great from what I've read, but at $54.99AU for 475ml (1 US pint) means it probably won't end up in my shed .

Thanks, Simon. I’m in the US. Louisiana to be exact. Glad we weren’t able to go to Mardi Gras this year or I’d probably be dead and not worrying about finishes! But we’re sure going to miss Jazz Fest. 😖
