    when you put in the pots, their bodies will act as grounds where they contact the shielding, as long as they are wired properly.
    i think adding a ground wire would be a precaution as opposed to a necessity, correct me please someone if i am wrong...

    Which value pots and caps are in these kits anyway cant seem to find it on the website?

    The pots in the LP kits are usually all 500k Logs, not sure about the caps, they could be 22nF, or 47nF.

    usually .022 for 500k pots, but there are no rules that say you cant use .047

    Ty Stan, Doc will be getting a hot rodded seymour duncan set they recommend 500k/47nF for those pups.

    Just added another layer to the top and neck.

    No worries, I've heard/read good things about those Hot Rodded Seymour Duncans, they should sound good in your LP guitar.

    By the way, the green finish looks good.

    Thanks man i'm loving the acrylic stain it's so easy to work with and cures so quickly I'm making progress like mad over here think i'm gonna order those pups tonight.

    Should i ve worried about that gap? My jackson js32tq has one too so i'm not too worried.

    If you gave some Hide glue, you could thicken it slightly and squeeze some glue underneath there. Some might try tell you that if you do not do that the fretboard could warp there. Not sure they are right. I think you could leave it as is without concerns.
