Gav I have one here for you. It's made for a Nebular but you could curve it For a Tele. Not sure the binding matches though.
First Attempt at a Kit Guitar Be gentle
It is the IB 5. All stock parts. I started by sanding it ( as you do) then spray painted it Black. Then rubbed it back again leaving some of the grain with the black paint in it. after that, Natural stain, with slightly tinted shellac ( about 12 layers ), French polished every 3 to 4 layers with 0000 Steel wool ( Its meant to look old )
