I agree Deddy. Especially with my playing ability.

Building guitars is its own kind of art-form, to me it's a 4 dimensional sculpture, the 4th dimension is creating it's voice.

I have found the same, particularly since hanging up the rugby boots (The full contact effort, I still play touch rugby else i will require GREATLY expanded belly cuts). I also have enjoyed the revising of skills taught me by my grandfather and others as a young bloke that I just don't get to use in my professional life.

Pretty much the same, i think by building it makes up for it... Kinda like if I cant be really good at playing at least I can be really good at building.. For me its research on guitars...I am a great researcher , not that you guys would know but I pretty much will research the guts out if anything.
