    Yeah just nice and plain... matches the fretboard in terms of colour perfectly and hides the plugged tuner hole... mission accomplished.

    Already opened all the holes back up as well time for a sand and some poly!

    that's right I forgot you had to cover up the plugged tuner holes.

    nice job Mick, looks like the same maple originally on the headstock face ! But now the tuner holes are in line !

    Cheers guys,

    I'd been tossing up the idea of doing either a gloss black or colour matched headstock to cover where I re drilled the tuner holes but couldn't really get on board because I'm a fan of the simple looking 'classic' headstocks so I went with the maple veneer.

    I shot a coat of clear polyurethane all over the neck this morning to keep it looking simple and classy.
