    So had some time to have ago at the Ziltoid. Drilled some exploratory holes to find the edge of the centre block with the intention of running the battery box alongside it. Cut out the outline and then realised that it wasn't gonna fit. So had to take some of the centre block out and now fits. If I can figure out a way to inset the battery box with enough support will have a go at that later.

    Set up the location of the Z,s and marked out. Used a dremel and router base and free cut (Pabs supplied me with a template to assist in the cutout but couldn't get it to sit securely because of the body curve.) Quite happy with how it has turned out so far and now to file to shape and look at fitting the under supports for the acrylic.

    Given that I've already sworn to provide all of my future offspring to the God that is DT and the overlord Ziltoid, This build is VERY interesting.

    Attacked the neck today and managed to get the rest of the fretboard off without too much drama or damage. Gave a very quick cleanup sand and then marked up the new fretboard for the Acrylic inlay.
