Maple board sounds sweet and quilt top sounds like a legend of a kit. Are you going to use the TOM hardtail or outsource? I did the latter and outsourced a fender style from an American supplier called guitar parts resource. It cost around $20 so if youre outsourcing you might be interested in that.

Thanks Scott. I'm hoping she'll sound as good as she looks.

First intensifying coat is on and cured. Cant say I notice much change to the colour, but its got a slight sheen to it. I put on the second intensifying coat this morning and the colour did get much richer, but it might just be because it was wet. Ill take a pic once that has cured and let you all see it.

    Hey Ultpanzi,
looking good. I've noticed the oils in the DT take a few days to cure but you may find after a few days of curing the colour should darken a little. It will appear darker when you put clear coats on. what clear you got planned ?

Thanks Woks. I was just planning on using the DT finishing coat that came with the set.

no worries Ultpanzi, the DT clear is like the stain coats, you need to let it cure. Steel wool between coats. You will get a fairly nice gloss after about 3-4 coats

Sounds good. Ill probs top it off with dingowax to give it a touch of extra protection.

I've never tried dingowax over the clear coats but sure it can't hurt. It smells and feels great on the fingerboards
