looking good Ponch the body getting a bit more depth of colour. The piney strat didn't sound too bad, I gave it to a mate I don't see much of these days. Got plenty of other pine scratchys was a good way to learn the build process.
The ST-1 I posted was a charity axe had auction and donated the money to Make a Wish Foundation for sick kids. My bro in Melbourne ended up winning it and he's a lefty ! So he re-strung it

Small update, I'm almost done with the Wudtone, I'll probably squeeze one more coat on, then a week to cure before highlights. Colour looks more solid and green in real life! Neck finish is complete, now curing. I used 3x DT final coats and it has come up very nicely. And on another project I whipped out my neglected Maton acoustic and cleaned up frets. Used Dingotone guitar wax on the fretboard and it has come up a treat.

Cheers guys. This build is actually coming along as envisioned which makes a change I'm really liking the Dingotone neck finish and so not to waste any it will be consumed on my fretless JB project and ST-1 neck as a refinish job (the original Wudtone vintage stain is way too dark). A busy weekend coming up.. This Strat will now receive a set of Benson Texas pickups (via PBG). And HW colour scheme wise - parchment for pup covers, tone/vol knobs, switch knob and trem arm (if it stays..) on a 3 ply white pickup guard. The neck should be cured by the weekend. A final super fine wire woolling should do it. I can then Dingotone wax the maple fretboard. I leveled and polished the frets before the neck finishing - glad to have managed to get that out of the way early on..... More to follow....
