@Wokka: I'm thinking purple at the moment! With a black burst around, or maybe inversed (ie. black in the middle, purple around)...
I'd be keen to hear from DB about his new DT Amethyst colour! I've asked the question in the DT forum, hopefully he'll be able to confirm soon.
Otherwise I'm considering using Keda dyes or U-Beaut stains...

sounds good Fred. Flick DB an email he has been laying pretty low lately. Not sure if there has been a problem with the PBG emails lately. I've seen some tests of his latest Amethyst stain and it looks good.

I contacted DB (with the db@ address as the dingobass@ one bounced back), and he's not happy with the light fastness of the Amethyst stain unfortunately.
I'm pretty keen to stick with the purple colour, so I've started looking at Keda dyes. They look pretty good, especially because they're also environmentally friendly, and they have good reviews. I've contacted them to check about light fastness...
Has anyone's here used them? I'd be interested to hear what top coat was used and if the colour faded or not!

I've received the X Trem from Guitar Fetish. Looks pretty good!
I'll have to find a way of filling the holes though as it doesn't cover the holes for the fixed tail bridge.
Found some 12mm dowel. I'll try to sand it down to fit.

Looks much neater & tidier than a bigsy. Which way do the strings get fed, from the strap button side or reversed in from the bridge side?

From the strap button side. Looks pretty straight forward. Feed the strings through the holes from the back, run under the moving beads and then over the bridge.
I got a roller bridge with it... looks cool😀
