    Cheers dude, I was definitely the most nervous about doing the neck pocket, I can relax a bit now. Hopefully it should be plain sailing from here on out (famous last words)...

    Looking good Barge you are always full steam ahead. If the body Is heavy you may have to chamber it. I had to on my latest scratchy. You still got to route pup and control cavities so it will be a bit lighter

    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Yeah, like you say, rout out those cavities and carve the top and it should lighten the load a bit. I can't really see how I could chamber this one.

    Depends how big will the control cavity be? If you aren't chambering it make a larger Control cavity will shed more weight

    It was only going to be big enough to house standard Tele electronics but there's no reason why I couldn't make it a little roomier.
    I mean it's not crazy heavy, so once the routs are done it should be cool.
