Reaming bit is usually a good fix ( get at the G shed) no tearouts self centering and quick as.
About $12 from memory.

Thanks for the concern guys. It's all done with no problems. Reverse was the key. Unfortunately that juiced the battery of my drill and I can't find the charger, so a slight hold up. I've got the next few days off work, expect more progress.

Just had a thought...
If you would prefer not to use a dual gang pot and aren't set on a master tone, you could try a Red Rhodes style spin-split tone control combo using a standard pot for each pickup. At about 7 or 8 the pot is 'neutral' and you get full humbucker, turning it to 10 progressively splits the pup, turn it the other way and you get a tone control (7/8-0) on the humbucker.
Pros and cons, but may be worth considering (I've never tried it myself).

Scott.
I'll let the neck settle overnight, and then setup tomorrow night. Neck is straight, the angle is correct, all the electronics work, no hum. Phew.

awesome Pabs that looks way cool. Will have a look at page 1 to see how it looked when you got it.
Can't wait to see a demo of the rocksongs cranking

Mate that is sure a real purdy one!
I really need more practise with my lutherie skills, I wonder how I might do that?
wow big difference Pabs the before and after, plus the neck was going to come unstuck as soon as you put string tension on it.
Did you see how black hardware looked ? Can't remember what the headstock looks like.
What's the middle knob do now ? (I forgotten) - presume its 2 volumes and 1 master tone ?
@ Rabbitz, the only way to improve is build more kits mate ! Then you may move onto a scratch build

Thanks guys. Woks, I'll take a few more pics in a couple of days. The knobs are volume, tone, bridge coil split.
