I went with the freeway and it's pretty cool as it looks like a normal SG switch.
I got Seymour dyncan one shots rings for the humbuckers to manage the variations... too many options now!

Cheers swanny! I’ve done a coat of lemon oil to treat the timber, didn’t come up quite as dark as I was hoping.. but now it’s piled not sure there’s much I can do

Most stains will penetrate almost anything! If not, just give it a rub with 400 sandpaper to loosen up the fibres.
