I agree with Tony. Cosmo black would look sweet. And rear routed for sure.

They do do that, but getting hold of it may be an issue. I attempted to get a Trem in vintage copper for my FrankenWashie rebuild. it was expensive and a lead time measured in months. Though, If you've a direct line to the importer or the manufacturer Euroa you might have better luck than me.

Black Nickel is nice too, its more like a soft grey than black. I have a set of Grovers here I was going to use then changed my mind. Might be hard to match up a bridge though.
If you can get the chrome scuffed up, boiling in salt water soon get things rusting up nice. Both lemon juice and vinegar gets some nice patina going on bare steel

Thanks Dedman, I'm thinking relic hardware and using black nickel tuners, dont really like the idea of trying to relic any part of a tuner! If what you have are 3+3 mini grovers and you want to get rid of them just pm me with a price Cheers Carl

I can see why this forum is so popular! Thanks everyone for your feed back.
This is what I'll go for:

Black nickel tuners
Rear mount controls ( I was going to do front mount)
Relic chrome hardware
Timber knobs x 3 (a timber knob rotary switch for pickup selection).

Thanks also for the kind words on the build, this body started out as a neighbors potting bench!
I can't take credit for the snake it was done by a local artist and it was her idea to weave the snake through the grain.
I'll post some picks when its all finished...Thanks again you've all been a great help
