    Sutherland Shire

Era Beach, where the weekender is and the view from the window looking over the beach
Directly below the bluff headland behind where the shacks are in the first pic is the location of the now infamous Figure 8 Pools

And the view from the front balcony of our house, hard to believe it's the middle of suburbia

So I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth (the South Coast of NSW)

Its where the mountains touch the sea....

There's an island or two floating around...

    Some hidden rainforests...

I've seen some of the most beautiful places on earth but at the end of the day... there's no where else I'd rather call home.

Well done, i did some HDR for awhile, but dont use it anymore. It looks so good how your controlling light levels and balancing the tones of a photograph.

Cheers mate, I shoot with a Nikon as well, and for landscapes... they really cant be beaten.
If you're interested check out my website www.michaelphoto.com.au ... there isn't a single HDR image on there I can assure you that It's all about waiting for the right light!

Photography used to be so simple haha

I do alot of gold prospecting so I cant cart a big camera anymore, they would get smashed, i also cant hang around for a capture, continuously on the move 20k a day in tough terrain sometimes, carrying enough weight to make a soldier cringe. I am also in the freezing cold and searing heat, and often submerged in water when i go in the bay with my underwater detector, so i have to use an Olympus TG4 these days.

Pretty hard on man and machines.

Crawling around on your guts in deep mud for a couple of days can pay off
