    Holy damn Moose what a way to set the bar on what is going to be competitive after last month's efforts!! I'd be real chuffed if I was the owner of that guitar, it's absolutely beautiful!

    The flame grain effect came from 12 coats of amber shellac, with another 50 clear on top. It became more pronounced as I went on. I think I got very lucky with this cap, it is really flawless.

    50 clear coats wow Moose you must have alot of spare time !

    Did you pop the grain before the shellac Moose like rub back a darker stain ?
