Pablo, you are correct. I was thinking this was the custom which did have the tele headstock. The Delux did indeed have the Strat headstock.

Total personal preference, but I think any of these designs will look rad.![]()
'As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.'
Agreed Pabs!, Whatever design you settle on it's gonna be a real sweet kit, take your time and ask heaps of questions.
absolutely. i dislike the large strat headstock enough that it put me off buying a real tele deluxe on gumtree though ahah/<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/Quote from pablopepper on September 10, 2014, 17:38

well there you go thanks for correcting me Pablo.
Jacob just go with whatever headstock shape you are comfy with
Current Builds and status
scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck
Completed builds
scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in
Thanks everyone for the advice, I agree that the headstock should also reflect the body, I have already started with the deep colour coat and have hung it up to dry for a few days.
I will keep you posted and ask if I'm in need of help,
Jacob
Thank you guys for all the great advice, I will look into a tele headstock but meanwhile I applied the deep colour coat. Here are a few pictures.
thanks,
Jacob

Hey Jacob, That is going to look AWESOME. What a very exciting start to a build. I did like the middle headstock shape. It has a uniqueness to it. Building your own guitar will give you a lot of confidence with the workings of a guitar, and you won't be able to stop smiling when you play it.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the build and don't forget about the guitar of the month contest when you get her all done.
Cheers,
Brian
Once I have applied the deep coat to the whole body, I hung it up to dry for a few days, here are a few pictures
