I was looking for a nice veneer for my SG but haven't found anything as nice as this yet... maybe I should look harder!

Cheers mate, my bro in law sells veneers, if theres something in particular you are after i could ask him, hes got a shed full of timber

Hey nitro, sorry missed that!
I'd be interested by something quite light in colour as I want to tint it purple. Initial plan was to get a flamed maple top.
Would be awesome if your brother in law can get a nice bookmarked veneer!

What did you use for the wipe on poly? Feast & Watson?

Ok, i asked my relly but he is shutting up shop due to ill health sadly, im very upset. Did a quick search online for you and found this australian site. They have heaps of good veneers for a reasonable price, give em a go....

Im not using a high gloss finish this time, think id like to have a satin lustre, so am going to use satin wipe on poly to see how that goes, im going for a more natural timber finish.

I got it from masters, but its closing down now, mine is the oil based version, it comes up great.

Fred have you tried Masters (they have almost closed down) or the big green shed ? Think one or the other may only sell either gloss or satin, I can't remember
