Wiring harness 90% complete. I'm putting final poly topcoats over headstock decal so if the moons and planets align final assembly this Sunday...

    Ponch's ES5-V

'Tis ready for assembly tomorrow. Wiring is all in place, tested and awaiting the (frustrating...) task of threading through the body

I would have completed this evening but casting my mind back to my previous hollow build reminded me to put a small dab of glue on the grippy washer thingies that have a habit of dropping off inside the body during the process. So I'll wait until dry tomorrow

A bit of glue is mandatory for holding washers on in this situation. I use a standard all-purpose glue that you can get in any stationary store. Dries in a few minutes and it's strong enough to stop the washers falling off.

And here it is. Only need to add strap buttons, add P90 spacer and on next string change sand bottom of bridge to fit body contours

The P90 sounds great. Less than 50% volume and pulled back tone nice and jazzy. Over 50% volume breaks up nicely for blues

The all mahogany bridge has mellowed the sound giving the vibe I was after

    Well done Ponch.

The leather lounge in the background looks a bit too modern for that style of guitar. Might need something more retro for the final glamour shots haha.
