"Isn't funk the most beautiful creation of man?"

#1st build - JMA-1L
#2nd build will certainly be a custom kit close to the GR-1SFG
Here’s the body after some 600 sanding !
Do you think i’ll need to put some more primer on slightly less covered areas or to sand in higher grain ?
I let the experts handle the coverage question, but you should sand where the paint has left runs in the bridge post holes and tremelo cavity to prevent problems later on in the build.

If you get each finished layer (primer/colour coat/clear coat) smooth, it prevents a lot of problems. Any run that causes a bump in the primer will cause a bump in the colour coat and a bump in the clear coat. When you finally sand it all level, then you'll be taking the top off that bump which will probably break through to the colour coat and maybe even back to the primer. SO get each layer smooth and bump-free before starting the next layer.
Also, I just see this at the top of the neck, it's not really straight, and there are stains, is this normal? : /

This looks nice!
Re flatness of each layer, I believe Simon is correct, it is best to get the first layer flat if you are after a perfect glossy finish.
You might consider use a guide coat or mist cost, lightly spray the body with a contrasting colour and then sand with a fine paper. High or low areas will be obvious as the contrasting colour will sand off the flat areas very quickly.
