yeah there's something wrong if we can buy items from USA or overseas and can get the item posted quicker and cost less than an Australian store

Unless i need something yesterday, i dont buy in Aus, even with the $$ crapping out i can still get it quicker and cheaper, but there are some good Aussie suppliers and i often check them 1st, if i only wanted a bridge in a hurry, no use me spending $500 on an order of parts i dont really need.

On a side note PBG has probably the best deal i have seen on Grovers, if you buy them with a kit, great deal.

I guess if you live over east, postage service is ok...
Thing that p*sses me off is the rest of Oz loves our mining tax and gst contributions but conveniently forgets that we would like a decent postal service, just to name one of the many gripes we have over here...
So, in the end, I find I can get most things I need faster from Asia or the USA than I can from the eastern states.... Go figure...

Aus post overnight = four to five days....sometimes a week... Seems to me that AP love to take the express post payments and not deliver. I don't bother with express any more, seeing as it takes the same time as normal 'snail via Outer Mongolia with a holiday in Bali' mail....
DHL from the USA = three days max.

I have parcels arrive quicker from the U.S.A, than ones posted here in Melbourne sometimes, i never rely on Aus Post.

I was sending a guitar i built for a guy to WA who wanted it in a hurry so express it was, it cost $30 with a courier and was there in 2 days, Aus post wouldnt touch it. I sent an express satchel to Perth with 10 packs of strings in it, and it took 5 days.

Well i can finally finish this neck off, its been a labour of love this heel join, but i beat the bloody thing, smooth as a babies.

    Now back to staining

One of those take your time jobs, and just keep at it, put it away and do something else for a few days and then go again.

I was originally going to do the headstock black but i decided a 50/50 mix of red mahogany and water would work, should look ok once its dry.

Close to coating this neck with MinWax PolyU clear satin
