Not with a push/pull, no, it works as one or the other and can't 'hold' setting once switched.

If you want volume and tone and to have the settings 'stay' in a single control your only practical option is a concentric pot. That would allow you to control both volume and tone but requires a stacked knob that typically has limited styles, so that option will depend on the style of knobs you want to use with the build.

Like I said it depends on how you want to incorporate it into the rest of your circuit as to what the best options would be.
    Scott.

    Ahh I see.
All good, I'll just run it as normal with the push/pull pots. So I'll have 3 push pulls for each pickup then master vol. only thing I need to get is a 5 way selector. So I can run the pickups neck - neck and mid- mid - mid and bridge - bridge.
It's definitely going to test my wiring skills haha - keen though

Instead of a master volume you could have a vol for each pickup and a master tone. Another switch option would be a 6 pos Free-way toggle, bit pricey though.

I'll run the push/pulls first and see what I can get out of it got heaps of capacitors and a few pots so if I want to can change it later on

Thanks Gav! Loving being back! Just gotta add the backing track to my newest vid and it'll be up
Still deciding on the finish... def doing black edge to purple fade. Just not sure if I'm doing black back or faded back. And not sure if I'm gunna leave the neck natural or black or purple... haha

Shaz, on my black strat I did a neck -neck and mid- mid - mid and bridge - bridge. with a 5 way then added a push pull that added mid to postions 2 and 4 for 'everything on.

My Gretch has a normal 3 way and another toggle that adds mid to where ever you are on the 3 way

I'm going to use the 6 way freeway toggle switch on my 3x pup SG as I wanted to keep the original look.
About $60 from Stewmac I think.
You can get rotary 5 or 6 ways too that are cheaper.
