Okay, so the Pine SC is finished and playing - photos to come when I get a chance to edit them.
And the floor board Tele is hot on its heels. Dunno, maybe Floorcaster or Flawcaster.
I need some guidance from you guys as to knobs and switch tip colour..what's your vote??

I'm leaning toward the black and amber top hat knobs with black switch tip, but I also like how the cream tip brings out the cream in the zebra buckers. Hmmmm

Yep, I don't think you can go wrong with either option.

Amber tops on the dials, but I think the cream switch would accent the pups . The black would tend to blend in with the body IMO.

I think almost anything would work with that guitar. I'd be tempted to try something wild, like Steve Vai-style fluorescent knobs. But knobs and tips are easy to change, so swap them over for a bit until you're happy.

Hmm, I'd go for the black knobs, but I'd only go with the cream switch cap if you could get the actual switch unit in black.
In fact, if it were me, I'd get some model paint and paint the switch.
