    @Wokkaboy- I flirted with rounding one/both edges but in the 'flesh' the design actually doesn't look too bad, especially when you turn it around into the playing position..

    @Frankenwashie... you know what, on close inspection the truss rod my just slightly favour the G string slot?? it's hard to tell for sure as there is a little more wood on the left of the headstock than the right, which contibutes to that optical illusion thing you refered to... the whole headstock was never cut quite symetrical I'm thinking??
    Your not as jittery and old as you may think afterall!! haha!

    It's a head scratcher, I found when I trued everything up with my EXA-1 build and aligned the centre of the body to the truss rod, that it actually deviated from its true centre by about 1.5 mm, doesn't sound like a lot but it caused some blinking and trepidation prior to the reshaping of my tenon!

    A few updated pictures (featuring my gorgeous 10 month old son) after a 2nd layer of finihing coat.. getting close to putting it together now... Looking forward to it but getting a little impatient ...I wanna put it together!!!! haha!!

    looking good Hugh starting to get a bit of shine. Unfortunately you will need to be patient letting the DT finish coats curing
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    Cheers Wokkaboy, yes, It's starting to look ok and rest assured I'm am giving the finish coats at least a week between layers mate...

    Don't rush it and spoil that gorgeous goodness you have created so far. The wait definitely pays off.
