    I think steel wool. A lot of steel wool contains oils to enhance shelf life. Maybe some liquid detergent then dry it out thoroughly (but maybe this will cause it to rust..)?

    Why would you even bother?
    Only has to get slightly damp and it rusts.........

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    also steel wool ignites very easy near grinders I found out !

    @ Pabs tele looks unreal, glad your patience has paid off. Hows the front look similar to the back ?

    should look a treat orange and black hardware. Is the neck curing now as well ?

    No problemo DB, just use a brillo pad, steel wool pad impregnated with soap!

    Ponch is that what you clean the Kwakka with ? must be getting a bit of rust on the chrome a 1980's Kwakka ? haha
