Hi stan, thank you very much.
The reason for refilling the holes its because they are totally out of place according the new RB headstock dimmensions. We will see more clear on next update pics.

Very quick update before the new year.
I've cut the headstock shores with a japanese saw, sand it at 180 grain, so much care, i've cutting some wings from a 15mm beechwood blank (not birch) and glue them with titebond...one side at least, tomorrow i will glue another side. I have to say.."RB headstock are so so big"
Some goodies from amazon...should be called amazing...))
These grover machine heads measure about 21mm at depth, so i got a little more margin to put on diferent headstock sheet veneers from 0,6mm to 1,5 mm. The whole headstock width should be around 15mm+1.5+1.5= 18mm...should be...
Yesterday, I've purchased a 1,5 mm birchwood veneers for this purpose, two 0.4 mm maple veneers, and two blank bone nuts to make it on my own.
More to come...

Hi guys, new years update...last night i worked a lot (from 11pm to 2a.m.) giving some touches to the headstock after i returned from my inlaws residence (up to 500 km) i couldn't resist myself reshaping the new headstock, cut it and sand down with 100 grain. All by hand, only dremel was used a little bit with the inside of the up horn. Beechwood its a very hard one for coping saws at this width but its ok.
This is the new wings glued in perspective with the old cuted pieces. Note here the size differences between old and new.
