I haven't even heard of this until a few days ago! I used braided wire on my ES-12G, but also used GFS pickups, instead of the ones supplied in the kit. I don't get any hum/noise except when I hit the strings.

But, it would be fun to try a new skill! How many people can say, "Hey, I just wax potted my pickups!"

Hey Swanny, I had heard of it before but more so on sealed pots not on the actual pup.
I will also be getting some braided cable or atleast shielded to try and minimise even more noise!

So with all the festivities and family gatherings I have not had a chance to do my wiring. So it will be a little longer till the beast is up and strumming!! I don't have an ETOC hopefully not too far away!!

My husband and I move into our house in March so I'm sure lots of building will happen then!! (Still hoping for earlier)
