@ Swanny go back a page or 2 there is a mock build with cream surrounds, I really need to match the knobs if I go cream. No I wasn't rushing to have a beer (was already having one haha), my drill press is too small to reach so it was done with a hand drill

Coming together nicely Woks. Those ferrules are hard to get aligned. I've practiced on scrap wood using a variety of techniques and have yet to get a straight line. And the black pup surrounds with the knobs look great and contrast well with the lighter stripe of wood.

for lined ferrules you could just drill through a metal block and use it as a jig?

That's right, I did comment on them... black suits the knobs.

Yeah Tony scratch builds are much more rewarding than building a kit and you can make any shape you like

I have an exact template made from a 1952 Telecaster i have been wanting to do, and a to spec unfinished 1952 Swamp Ash Telecaster body ready to start on that the same guy made for me. All specs off a 1952 he had in his shop for a few days, i just get jittery every time i drag the Kauri out.
