I'm about to rip out the Pabs fret ruler now to level a tele neck. Getting plenty of use Pabs cheers
@ Ponch don't get into any more strife at home !

What I'd like to know is this:
a, How can I order one of these straightedges?
and...
b, How much is it going to cost me to order one?
I could order one from Stewmac, but I was just wondering if there was an easier way without having to wait for it to arrive from overseas in the post, given that Australia Post can be a bit slow.
Hi Doc, send Pablopepper a private message he should be able to make you one.

have to agree DB, I think the fret rulers are first class and his pickguards, radius gauges and picks are all very good

K Don't waste your cash on the fret erasers Doc..
I got a set and they are tedious to use... You get great results with wet and dry, steel wool then a buff up with a little bit of brasso on a soft cloth. Just make sure you mask the fretboard up! Brasso is a biarch to get off if it gets on the board
My old method to level frets is.
1. After setting the neck straight, masking and textaing the frets sand with radius beam/ block.
2. Crown fretz
3. Polish fretz with 1000 then 2000 w&d and buff with 0000steel wool then brasso
My new method is
1. As above
2. Break out the Ginex (see pic) crown with 400 then 1000.
3. Polish with felt wheel on dremel
Ah rightio, I think I know a few places in Darwin where I can buy either Brasso or Silvero, I seem to remember using Brasso to polish frets before, it does work quite well, might do that then.
One thing's for sure at least one of the frets on my Chibson SG does need leveling so that's going to be one of the next jobs to do on the guitar after replacing it's nut.
