sounds like a plan Damo, there's always something to do on the build while the body/neck cures

Hi everyone.. So I'm up to my second intensifying coat and the colour is really starting to sing! Love it..
I've also done some of the wiring (everything except the pick-ups).. Ran out of braided wire for the hot wire so have ordered some more..
I have a little concern with the heel of the neck.. as you can see in the pic there's a crack that has formed.. Not sure how it happened but noticed it after the first intensifying coat had dried. Will this weaken the neck at all? Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

Hey Damo that colour is looking really intense. Good work on the wiring looks neat too.
With the crack in the side of the neck heel,is the exposed part cracked ?
I think the part in the neck pocket the glue should hold it together

    Hey Wokka!
Yeah the crack comes up a little (about 1cm) above the pocket.

    Looking good Damo.

That looks like a separation there buddy... When you hold it up to a strong light source, can you see through it?
You might need to get a syringe and try and force some titebond in there and then clamp it up.
This should fix that problem but then you may need to sand the bottom face of the heel flat.....

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    Thanks DB!
Can't see any light through so it's only come up on the one side it seems.
Thanks mate I'll give the glueing and clamping a go.

That looks amazing. Clamps and glue as DB says.

What I want to know is how you can upload 1/2Mb photos onto your posts? Mine get rejected above 150kb.

@ Damo you may need to sand any glue from the exposed join of the neck heel and re-stain but will be worth it.
@ Moose you should be able to upload up to 976kb files if they are a .gif, .png, .jpg or .jpeg format to a maximum size of 1500 x 1500. The other file formats the maximum size is alot less so try saving on one of the formats above. FYI if you hold the cursor over Damo's pics they are only around 500kb in size

Even I and my inflated ego (as a mod) is restricted to 1500 x 1500.....sadly!

haha thats a bit rough Gav. Usually 1500 x 1500 is big enough to get the detail of your truss rod covers Gav !
