cheers for the comments Barge, Tim, Stan and Gavmeister.
@ Gavmeister I didn't want a Keith Urban axe and the bridge pup is my favourite sound !
@ Barge yeah I'll have to rub the headstock back and repaint it. It was my last vinyl logo so I need to order more

Chrome axe turns into a beer label axe

Couple of weekends ago I put a second clear coat on the body and the clear cracked/rejected so it was hanging for 2 weeks with no plans other than sand it back to bare wood.
Then my 4D buddy Popeye has a brilliant brain wave yesterday - while drinking beer - lets soak beer labels and stick them on the chrome axe !
So this is how far we got yesterday. Need to add some more labels on and eventually glue down any proud bits and get a clear coat over it.
Still not sure if I'll use the chrome pickguard or might have another crack at a chrome axe I got a spare ST-1 kit I might try again with better quality auto paint

cheers Gav, we have more of these axes planned, have another body with rejected clear, this time we know to soak the labels for more time so they separate from the bottle easier.

Cool idea Woks. Should modify some speed knobs to have bottle cap tops to fit the theme
