    Tks Nico,

Nah I don't play Jazz. I doubt that what I play can even be termed music. my repertoire is limited to the few songs I remember from the late sixties, Stones, Small Faces, Beatles, Hendrix and Clapton. Oh can't forget Chain
What I do enjoy is sitting in my studio(spare room) and just making stuff up. Sometimes I come up with a few nice chord progressions.

One thing I have always enjoyed is creating stuff. whether it's a bit of music, that I am more likely to forget in ten minutes or building a guitar. I like to use all those little tradie tricks I've learnt over a lifetime of doing things.
I find the joy of creating physical things very fullfilling.
Building guitars is one way of reaching fulfilment. Each guitar I make I learn somehting new. I am sure the missus is getting sick of it.
A couple of years ago I built a scratchy copy of a Maton I once had, now I have thirteen guitars. would have been fourteen but I got rid of one I wasn't all that happy with.
When I am gone some of these will get handed on to my kids or grand kids.

Thanks for sharing with this thread.
Ive jumped in the deep end with one of these builds, and the information you are imparting is going to be invaluable.

    Tks SB.

this build is in Limbo at the moment, but only because it is Winter in Melbourne and experience has taught me not to try and do Guitar work when it's cold damp and wet, nor when it is too hot. Melbournes temperate weather goes from 42 C in Sumer to Zero in Winter.
These are the extremes we get. Usually we sit between 10-30C
I am still applying gloss in the Form of wipe on Poly. This stuff is CRAP do not waste your time with it.
I am about 20 coats in on the deck and while it has a nice gloss it just isn't up there with acrylic.
I am seriously thinking of heading off to some body shop and getting them to spray acryllic all over the bidy, this one and the Black which is still also in Limbo.

I have all the bits to finish this but it need to have a good fininsh before I finish it.
I need to glue the neck in and do the lectronics.
I am happy with the loom I built although I do like What Weirdy and Jeff came up with for his GR-!sf

I am also seriosly thinking about ripping the Fau Bigsby off the PIG(one of my other builds, really should be used as firewood),
But given tremlo systems are notoriously hard to keep in tune I just feel this guitar deserves better than that.

    Cheers one and all.

    Hi SB,
I'm still applying Min wax to it, but have just about had enough of that stuff. It has a nice shine, but still too much graining comming through. I haven't done much over winter as it's too cald and damp in my workshop to be playing with clear coats.
I could assemble it as it is but I just want to go that little bit further with the finish, like spray over the Min wax with acrylic...

    Cheers PK
