The custom bridge for this arrived. Need to do some sorting out of the saddle screws and see what the saddle travel range is before measuring up the bridge position. Don't want to get the through body holes in the wrong place.

Considering putting the neck and bridge on and doing the setup with the strings top mounted first so the risk is lower (just the bridge screws).

Which probably means finishing the neck since I'd rather only out the machine heads on once. So that means time to head to the logo drawing board.

Thats a chunky looking bridge Sam, should get some awesome sustain happening with that puppy

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

That's the hope DB. Machined from a steel block.

That and the through body stringing should give it a real "connection" to the wood.

Looks massive in the rear Sam, that will definitely be sustaining for days!

Looks like you have a fair bit of travel range there, remember its only about 3mm between top 'E' and bottom 'E'.

Between top C and bottom B I might expect at least that.

Quite right you are too....I saw six saddles and assumed a proper guitar not one of these monstrous basses!

Sam nice looking saddle. Better make sure the B string fits through the string through hole. Looks like heaps of travel and will be quite a few mm between B and C strings

B string fits with some to spare. First thing I checked when I picked it up. Took the string with me for that purpose.

Applied some wudtone top coat on the neck. Quite like the result.

Got some longer screws for the saddles on the way. After which I can measure up the bridge location.
