Yeah the masking has helped me a lot! I kinda wish I did it on the binding of the body, I will need to scrape/sand before the clear coat :/
Did you end up getting a wax finish? I have done the top coat on the neck and it has come up quite 'shiny' I think that has come down to the grade of sand paper I used (800 was the finest)

Yeah, the neck is smooth and shiny, I think I did 800 grit, too.
I havent done a wax finish.. what is that?

I thought you asked a while back on the forum about a wax? Might not have been you :/
There is a wax that you can get from dingo tone to use after the final coat, just gives it a bit more protection and a different finish its not exactly glossy either.

So I decided tonight that I wanted to fashion my own Knut out of bone... So I did. I asked friends on FB if they had an old dog bone lying around the yard - some people were quite skeptical of what I was going to do with the bone. I simply said, a project. So tonight I thought of, completed and set my Knut. I am about to put the vid together and post it

    Nice one Shazz.

There has been the odd occasion when I have run out of bone blanks and nicked one of our dogs bones.
Dogs were not impressed but hey, it was a means to an end

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....
