Looks awesome! Nice dyes - easy to use and good price on the kit.
Hi Everybody,
It has been a long time since I posted anything on this forum, and many of you may have thought the my project was scrapped...nothing could be further from the truth.
About 3 months ago I noticed a problem with my right hip, which made it impossible to walk down to the garage. The problem progressed to a crescendo a few weeks ago when I just couldn't walk, ended up calling an Ambulance and have spent the last two weeks in hospital, on the best legal drugs while they ran every test to work out what was wrong. It ended up being a slight tear in the hip muscle. The stay in hospital has done me the world of good so back to my project.
The pickguard for the TL-1TB has gone missing, looked everywhere. Would someone please be able to upload a template of the pickguard (or something that would suit the guitar) so I can have one made?
Thanks,
Simon
wow that's a good ending to a bad story Simon, glad you are back on track and repaired.
As for the pickguard maybe Ads can take a photo of one and you can print it to the correct scale and trace that.
I had a look on the PBG website and its only a half sized pickguard

I've had great success with Feast Watson products. I had a green proof tint that looked awesome but I can't find it anymore. Danish oil is great too.
Finally finished applying the final coat of my Danish oil/Poly mix of top coat to the flame maple top of my project. Now to flip it over and put the final coats on the back, then wet and dry, buff and polish and it will be ready to assemble. I have got a fine strip of Kangaroo leather which I am going to adhere to the sides which should make the guitar look spectacular when finished....sometime early in the new year.

Wow looking awesome Simon! Love the blend you achieved from the turquoise to blue. The clear coats have really popped that flame maple too. Great job! Good to hear you are on the mend.
cheers,
Gav.

Excellent work Simon, love the colour/burst and flame. The flame matches nicely on both sides

That's a great colour choice, looks fantastic with the transition between the blue and green.
I'm betting that your pickguard will turn up as soon as you find a replacement...
Actually because I am going to have the black leather strip covering the sides of the guitar I decide to have a leather pickguard made. I was inspired by the Fender JA-90's pickguard so I had one of these cut out.
The JA-90 as a whole inspires me so much that I may have to make something similar myself!
