    nice 43mm thick is plenty to play with.
    So you get to drill your own tuner holes !

    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    You get a bit of an idea looking at this pic but once I start sanding it's really gonna come to life hopefully.

    yeah can see some nice quilting bro. Another bonus is no veneers required on an archtop would be pretty difficult.

    Soooo much easier not having to deal with thin veneers. Looks like it is Wokks;-)

    Actually, it isnt a member of the Acer (Maple) family.

    Bit hard to tell untill you sand it, but my guess is that chunk of tasty tree is probably Flindersia pimenteliana (common name Maple Silkwood or Rose Silkwood.
    The most likely possibility is Flindersia brayleyana (common name QLD maple or maple silkwood).

    There are 17 trees in the Flindersia family, all are native to the Moluccan, New Guinea and Australia regions.

    There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....
