Yeah she's gettin' up there Wokks, although there's not a lot left to go really. Just gonna go and wet sand the sides of the body and that's that all done. Got hold of some really cheap black Fender tremolo springs off Gumtree the other day so they should look pretty cool with the open back.
Pab's is knocking up something special for the headstock, and that will be a wrap.

sounds good Barge, so no tremelo cover hey, you going the 3 or 5 springs.
Bet Pabs headstock addition will look super cool.
I reckon this axe is on track for GOTY
Haven't seen much of the neck so look forward to seeing that
Did you match the deep red colour on the headstock ?

GOTY whoa whoa, we won't get too ahead of ourselves there brah, as long as we can keep it out the wheelie bin I'll be happy for now:-)
I guarantee when Pab's is done it will look amazing because his work is just insane.
I've used the same red ink on the headstock, but didn't use a black "grain popper" coat first. Because Pab's plate is black and white I really wanted the red to stand out in contrast.
I'd only planed on using the 3 black springs but you've got me thinking now, maybe throw in another two silver ones in between as well. That would look cool.

You'll just have to wait and see for the final headstock shape, I don't think you'll be too surprised.

ah ok so I have to wait for the reveal for the final shape and Pablo goodness.
I usually do the shaping first but presume you are waiting for the Pablo cover to match the shape.
Question Barge how thick was the vinyl for the sand blasting ?
I got access to a sandblaster at Popeyes work and a signwriter mate that can cut the vinyl

Yeah Pab's plate will be the template for the final shape, like I say the shape's nothing new.
It was just regular thickness stuff used for signs. Just go real easy, it wouldn't be hard to overdo it and blow through the vinyl. Right off to Zen Do Kai. young fullas grading tonight.

yeah ok cool thanks Barge, I thought the vinyl would easily get blasted through and ruin your plate.
Might have a test run on a spare plate first.
Or see if my signwriter mate can use slightly thicker vinyl

You never cease to amaze me, Bargey. How do you do it...?

The guitars you pump out are hands down some of the best on the forum, and this is my favourite by far. Looks killer.
