haha Stan, my powertools are shared by Wayne (Popeye) and his bro in law so they get plenty use. The orbitals would have clocked up many hours.

Man like I said, I can't believe I waited this long to get one. If I can suggest just one bit of equipment for the budding guitar builder it would be an orbital sander...without a doubt.

Lacquer and paint turned up today, bodies all wrapped up like a little guitar shaped Christmas present. It's go time!

Yeah...I gotta say, by the time you've fluffed about with masking and wot-nots you could have easily cut a binding channel and been 3/4 of the way through sticking the binding down. Faux definitely doesn't equal easier, but in this case, necessary.

Masking is one of those jobs that most peeps hate doing. Personally, I love it. Slow, steady, zen. I love scraping binding too, so I might just be odd. Can't wait to see the reveal.
