Ok,
Left top most horn on the head stock was kind of skinny and not round like the right side. So used wood filler to fatten it out a bit. Let it dry then sanded
Then applied two coats of under coat, giving about a day in between each.
and wet sanded down second coat with 600 grit. I think wet sanding is my new favourite thing in the world. Was pretty ecstatic how smooth it felt and didn't have to deal with all the dust getting stuck in the sand paper.
Next went to the auto shop and grabbed a purple metallic paint. Ummmmmmm yes the paint job is pretty umm fraked, need to work on my technique. Didn't expect it to run so quickly.
I'll have to do some heavy duty sanding before next coat.
As it turns out, I need to wait seven days for it to set fully
Actually I stand corrected. The paint seems to be fairly forgiving as it dries out.
